About Me
Hi, I'm a 28-year-old guy and recently moved to Chicago after finishing grad school in Austin. I fell in love with traveling at a young age thanks to a dad who took me backpacking and camping in S. America, Europe, and in the US. I love being active whether that means hiking, playing basketball/ultimate frisbee, or biking wherever I am.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Always looking to give back whether it's volunteering with youth in the community or helping someone else learn a language. I get an immense amount of satisfaction by trying new/different things and meeting new people. Looking to meet, learn, and share with others.
Interests
I love cycling, hiking, windsurfing/Sailing, kayaking. I also enjoy learning about the world through people. Having a witty or offbeat sense of humor is also greatly appreciated.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love indie as well as more folky rock. I can also enjoy classic and contemporary rock as well as some electronic and hip hop. Having just finished graduate school, much of my recent reading has been related to correcting social inequities and public policy, which I enjoy, but I also enjoy fiction, but usually with underlying symbolism. Recent favorites include: Ishmael, Just Mercy, and Evicted.
Teach, Learn, Share
Happy to help others learn/improve their English and Spanish. Also happy to help others practice their bball game, frisbee throws, and a few tricks in the kitchen.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My own travel experiences as well as an open mind and desire to learn how people think and view the world.
