I am a musician and love to create music with others, i find directly taking influence from other artists is the best way to improve ones ability and understanding.
Social injustice is a great concern of mine, i feel modern society is structured unfairly and unjustly, organized to cater for the wants of a privileged few rather than the needs of all, i am deeply passionate in working to aid the many who are swept aside and exploited and move society in a more progressive direction, though i do not support any particular political party or follow any pre- established doctrine, political, cultural or religious. My goal in life is to be able to back at the end and know my time here made a real positive difference.

Many of my friends have been recommending Couchsurfing to me for quite some time but due to my technophobia it has taken me quite a number of years to actually get around to opening an account. I would like to meet inspiring, compassionate people around the world and hopefully give fellow travelers a roof over there head once i get myself better organised.

I am deeply interested in music, creative writing and the arts and believe they are the most powerful mediums at humanity's disposal. I love what people refer to as extreme spots and outdoor pursuits such as climbing, kayaking, bombing down mountains on massive bikes, jumping out of planes etc, but ball games and the Olympics bore me to death. A football game will put me to sleep in about 10 minutes.

My favorite writer of any genre or medium is without a doubt Bob Dylan, a man who has transcended and defied pretty much everything at some point. My kind of guy. I love deep abstract poetic writing, Herman Hesse was an absolute legend, Leonard Cohen changed my life....you get the picture.
The kind of movies i like are the ones that show the extremes of life as they really are, with no glamour or pretension to disguise the truth, the ones that tell tell a very real kind of story that you can really relate to. Easy rider, Platoon and Trainspotting are old favorites.
Music is my greatest passion in life, my guitar is the love of my life. Primarily i listen to and play alternative rock and punk music, taking heavy influence from the roots of blues and folk. I also enjoy listening to listen to funk,soul and reggae, there's always a good time to break out those funky riffs. In my opinion the greatest artists are the ones that completely disregarded the pre-established rules and take things far outside the box to create something original and totally incredible. If i had to sum it up id say my 3 top bands would be; Pink Floyd, The Sisters Of Mercy and A Perfect Circle

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I once spent 3 months in a tent in the rain forest in the mountains of Victoria, Australia, in order to get myself together after a particularly rough patch. Removing myself from the imposing influence of society for a good bit of time was the most enriching thing i have ever done.
