About Me

Hello people, Im Jake, Im a easy going person I like to think, I'm very content person and love to have a laugh, because if you cant have a laugh what can you have, stress, anger or greed are words that rarely if ever come into my life.
I left home about 5 months ago, traveled Australia with a friend from home and now have been in NZ since the new year. I have been hitch hiking and sleeping in a tent the last while but recently my funds have became low so trying to make and save some money so I can head back to the south island.

Before I came here I trained to be a chef in collage but soon found out the industry isn't for me, I love to cook i just don't like the stress of a kitchen. I had a choice to go traveling or train to be a marine biologist, i decided to travel and hope to do some marine based voluntary work to get a taste of what's ahead and also experience the world.

I've been having the best time of my life seeing this wonderful country and experiencing it with other people, I've met so many amazing people along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is such an amazing concept. Ove slept on alot of couches through meeting friends, hitch hiking and other ways. I want to meet as many people as possible and I think if you're willing to let someone stay on your couch for a few night you must be nice. So I want to meet people and see how their life so we can hopefully both take something good away from the experience, and I happily cook you a good meal!
