About Me

I'm a zen-minded guy from Portland, OR. I haven't been to many places besides the Northwest, so I'm excited to start traveling more as a musician and meeting people, sharing experiences and living a vibrant life with the people I'll meet from all over the globe. I have a flexible, easy-going personality that helps me form connections with just about everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to share experiences and build camaraderie between people from around the globe. I don't necessarily enjoy the idea of going to a city and staying in a hotel, isolated from the people, walking around taking experiences away at landmarks and attractions. While that can be fun for some people, I enjoy connecting with the town, sharing experiences with the people I visit and generally, bring as much with me to offer as I am taking away.

I'm interested in underground/alternative culture. I'm interested in what places really have to offer for a traveler (and the people they meet), which is a sense of global community!

Interests

I'm interested in living! Experiencing and creating a long list of things: I love music (and art of every other kind), philosophy, the outdoors, finding new places, meeting people. The good stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of art, so I keep things eclectic, BUT if you haaaad to look at my music library, you'd find a lot of punk, alternative rock, indie, electronic, folk, country and blues in particular. Lots of classics, but always looking for newer bands too.

My favorite movie is The Fountain - I generally like everything that Darren Aronofsky directed (with a couple exceptions). I also like Shawshank, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, O Brother Where Art Thou, and some soft spots for Wall-E, Wreck-It-Ralph, Three Amigos, the list goes on and on so I'll stop here.
