About Me

Hey mate,

I'm Jake, 26 from Australia. I'm open-minded and courageous. My best life experiences have always come from challenging myself to go beyond what I thought possible. Some of my favourite moments from this trip:

- Hiking through untouched jungle to an epic cave behind a waterfall
- Holding the fire for an indigenous sweat lodge
- Outdoor meetups with a conscious brotherhood group in Austin
- Sitting around the fire and making music with fellow travellers in the stillness of the jungle
- Working out at Miami Beach

Living in Costa Rica has taught me to appreciate the simple things in life and reconnect with nature. I'm excited to continue this journey and be welcomed by new communities and families.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything that calms my mind or expands my awareness. Lately I've been loving Spanish instrumentals here in Costa Rica.

I enjoy classic comedies like Superbad and The Pineapple Express but. I also love to challenge my perception watching mind-opening docuseries like Superhuman and Psychedelica on Gaia TV,

Personal development related books like the Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and The Way of Zen by Alan Watts,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A profound life-changing moment was being presented the honourable role of serving as a "Fire Eagle" for a Temezcal (an Indigenous sweat lodge) in Costa Rica. It was the most intense yet rewarding experience and taught me to ground myself in the present moment and trust in my strength and ability to be of service to others.
