Overview
About Me
I'm Jake, I'm currently a student at UNC Chapel Hill and I'm studying abroad at the University of Copenhagen in fall of 2017. I'm studying computer science, but I'm a super active and exploratory person so when I'm not coding I'm probably out doing something totally random!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Why not? What a great way to experience local culture in a place you're unfamiliar with. In October 2017 I biked across Denmark and used couch surfing several times along the way, and had great experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Pulp Fiction/anything by Tarantino, lots of movies from the 90s
Music: Almost anything! I listen to music pretty much all the time and I rotate between classic rock, alternative, hip hop, jazz, etc. If I had to pick a favorite band, it would probably be The Black Keys
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While I was still in high school, I trained for and completed a marathon (it was awful though would not recommend)
I've traveled many places with my family, but my best experiences have been my travels on my own and with close friends...
Some cool places I've been:
-Several national parks in the Western U.S. (Zion (coolest place ever), Yellowstone, Bryce Canyon, Arches)
-Pacific NW of U.S.
-Guatemala
-Denali national park in Alaska
-Hopefully soon to be lots more (especially Europe)!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can definitely help teach coding or any computer or technical stuff you might be trying to figure out
What I Can Share with Hosts
Will clean, try to help cook (no guarantees of great quality though), tell you decently funny stories, bring beer, and do whatever else is needed within reason
Countries I’ve Visited
Denmark, France, Germany, Guatemala, Italy
Countries I’ve Lived In
Denmark, United States
