I'm a Kiwi currently living in Melbourne, Australia who loves to travel when I can!

I'm currently working in Digital Marketing for an NGO in the international development sector and have 7 weeks leave coming where I will be traveling to Africa!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am use to backpacking and staying in hostels and found out about CouchSurfing since planning my upcoming trip to Africa (Jan 2016).

I think this is an awesome way to meet new people and see places through people actually living there.

What I Can Share with Hosts

On Jan 23, 2016, my lifelong friend Dave and I will be travelling to Africa.
We will be staying with my family in Cape Town before departing for Lubango in Angola on Jan 28. From there we will be heading north overland using buses, taxis and whatever else we can find to make it to our end destination in Bamako, Mali, which we depart for home March 5. Both Dave and I work for NGOs in the International Development sector and are looking forward to getting closer to our work, though this isn't a mission or work trip. We do plan to see Dave's sponsor child through World Vision NZ in Mali if conditions are secure at the time of arrival. It's going to be quite the adventure and we are hoping to see Angola, DRC, Congo, Gabon, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Mali to give you an idea of the route we'll be traveling. We look forward to sharing some stories with you and most of all sharing a few drinks as we travel on through to Mali.
