About Me

I work in the craft beer industry in Portland. I am passionate about traveling, experiencing various cultures, good food and good beer. I enjoy outdoor activities and adventures.
I consider myself to be open-minded and willing to try new things and treasure new experiences and adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I value building connections with people and places and what better way to do that than through Couchsurfing?

The benefits of meeting locals can be priceless! It's always fun exploring and figuring things out on the go, but gaining some tips, insight, recommendations is very welcomed.

It is also fun and interesting to get a peak into the everyday lives of someone in a different part of the world. Cultural and social differences are fascinating to me and I love having the opportunity to embed myself in that culture and truly experience it, as well as share my culture with others. Staying in a hotel room doesn't allow for the true cultural exchange!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of music and a very wide range of music, however some of my favorite genres include: reggae, hip hop, grunge rock, punk, surf rock, indie/folk, jazz, etc.

I tend to watch documentaries, comedies, drama, crime thriller/mystery.

Most of the books I read are non-fiction, or forms of journalism, although I enjoy a good science fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent over two weeks traveling around Bavaria in Germany with my club soccer team in high school. We had the opportunity to stay at a German club's clubhouse and practice, eat/drink, interact with dozens of players from various soccer clubs around Germany. The cultural exchange was incredibly interesting, as it was one of my first experiences of another culture outside of the US.
This trip helped me realize how important traveling is to me and how there is so much more in the world beyond our small communities, towns, states, and even countries.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A different or new perspective and a glimpse into where I come from and to what my culture is like in the Pacific North West (OR, USA). I am open-minded and enjoy conversation and a discussion about cultural/social differences, politics, food, beer, sports, etc.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Germany, Mexico

Countries I’ve Lived In
