About Me

I'm a goofy guy, that's out to visit as much of this world as I can and wants to meet you!

I'm currently working from the road and able to do so via housesitting. It's a great way to travel, have a comfortable place to stay, and even have a new pet companion while I'm there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The very idea of Couchsurfing appeals to me. That you can travel to a new place and spend time with someone that is kind enough to open their home to you is absolutely beautiful. The hosts I've stayed with have all been fascinating people, many of which I consider friends.

Since being back on the road, I see Couchsurfing as a great way to meet locals that have a similar philosophy on traveling: it's better when you can share it with someone. Even if I'm housesitting, I'd love to meet up with local Couchsurfers.

Interests

I love exploring new places, trying any and all kinds of food and drink (I bartended in some wonderful restaurants for many years), and getting to meet new people everywhere I go. I enjoy bicycling, movies, concerts, and conversations that make the evening pass all too quickly.

I've been working for a web design company for the past years, the last year of which, completely from the road. I'm lucky to work for a guy that knows you work to live and not live to work. I love meeting positive, funny people, being introduced to new bands (preferably at a live show), all kinds of movies, and I'm a video game dork.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I set this up a charity ride to help with the medical bills for my friend's son, Alex who was born with brain injury called Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE). I rode from Chicago to Minneapolis, down to Albuquerque and ending in Los Angeles, raising just under $4,500. That was in 2012 and I'm happy to report that Alex is getting stronger every day.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I make a hell of a good breakfast and even better drinks.
