About Me

I'm an International Relations graduate from the states, and I'm outgoing but not into the party scene so much. When I'm in a new place I just like to walk around, hang out, and go with the flow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My parents always were having people stay in our guest room when there was someone that needed a place to stay, and I loved getting to know these people. I couch surfed in London and Amsterdam and had fantastic experiences, and have also stayed with hosts in Shanghai. I've enjoyed all of my couchsurfing experiences, and look forward to traveling more and hosting when I can!

Interests

I'm a runner, and I like picking up sports, so frisbee and triathlon are the current top two. As far as hobbies go I do a lot of knitting and stuff like that, and I'm always interested in talking current events and social inequality, especially when I'm in a new place with a different perspective.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like queer cinema, and I'm also a fan of comedies. Leisure reading is hard to manage during school, but when I get the chance I like current books that expand my world view. Music, I'm pretty open. I mostly listen to mellow rock or upbeat pop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the states I get out backpacking when I can, and the outdoors is kind of my first choice as far as places to explore.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love talking city politics and social justice, and coming from a conservative place in the states I have a pretty solid perspective coming from that direction, but personally have drifted pretty far left. I just want to hear about the kinds of problems other people in the world have, and how they choose to live day-to-day, and how that compares to mine.
