CURRENT MISSION
To explore the world, meet new people, and have fun!
ABOUT ME
Kenzi met Jake through couchsurfing at the farm he and some friends are starting up in Taos NM. She was the couchsurfer that never left, until recently that is, when we left together to travel the country :) We are fun loving, adventurous and easy- going. Kenzi lived in Michigan until she packed up her stuff one day and left on a motorcycle to travel the country. After a month or so she ran over some piece of metal in the road that was kicked up into her oil pan, cracking it and leaving her motorless for awhile. Jake and company helped her out, giving her a place to stay for a few weeks while the bike got fixed and great adventures to while away the hours. By the time her bike was fixed, Taos was home and the people there her family. Jake is originally from New Hampshire and ended up in Taos a few years ago living next to Joe. He and Joe eventually decided to buy a little patch of desert and live the wild west lifestyle. They have been working to create a sustainable home, bill free. We're getting there, but there is still much to be done. But we love the lifestyle and the hardships just keep us entertained :)
PHILOSOPHY
Ever changing as the world we live in. Keep your mind and your eyes open.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have been hosting couchsurfers for a year now. It's a little rough, kind of like glorified camping, but the location is amazing and we are very friendly people. We love meeting travelers and introducing them to the desert lifestyle. Stop by any time!
We do prefer surfers stay more then one night as this gives them the opportunity to live our life style and us the opportunity to ask for help around the farm if there is something to do.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have yet to meet a Couchsurfer we don't like or stay with a host we didn't enjoy.

Music, Movies, and Books
Kenzi likes old movies, some of her favorites being Bringing Up Baby, Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, Only Angels Have Wings and It's a Wonderful Life. Also anything Tarantino was involved with. Jake likes sci-fi and cheesy nineties movies and really just movies in general. His favorite movies are anything by Terry Gilliam. Kenzi's favorite bands are Led Zeppelin, Pink Martini, Said the Whale, and Gogol Bordello. Jake loves old blues and folk music, but we are both very open and love discovering new music. As far as books go, we'll read just about anything, and enjoy reading aloud to each other like the nerds we are.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jake has climbed Mt Kilimanjaro and completed the Appalachian trail. Kenzi has sailed in the Caribbean and danced with the natives.
