About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find someone who can teach me to do this.

ABOUT ME

There's no question I was born in the wrong decade. The sixties and seventies were where it was at. I thrive on their music and ideas. I trust people and consider them friends until they give me a reason not to. Everyone deserves a chance.

PHILOSOPHY

Live every day to its fullest. There's not as much time as we all think; you should enjoy every minute of it. Don't sweat the small stuff; there's no use worrying about something that may not happen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, I'm fairly transient and don't have any space to offer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been lucky enough to have people host me a couple times. They were all really hep cats.

Interests

Anything to do with music: the history, the sound, the people involved. I always carry a book with me, as I spend countless hours reading. Anything outdoors is straight with me. Rock-climbing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, scenic photography.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Rocky Horror Picture Show, Clockwork Orange, Pink Floyd: The Wall, Night at the Roxbury, This Is: Spinal Tap, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Almost Famous, Monty Python, anything with Will Ferrel or Danny McBride.
Music: Railroad Earth, Old Crow Medicine Show, Toots and the Maytals, Lou Reed/Velvet Underground, Roy Orbison, Willie Nelson, Iron/Wine.
Books/Authors: The Art of Dreaming (Carlos Castaneda), The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test (Tom Wolfe), A Clockwork Orange (Anthony Burgess), The Emperor Wears No Clothes (Jack Herer), On the Road (Jack Kerouac), Stephen King.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen some of the most incredible places in this country. I visited the Catalina Islands, Redwood/Sequoia Natl Parks, Pinnacles, spelunked in Mercer Caverns, worked/lived in Yellowstone Natl Park. No big deal.

Teach, Learn, Share

I work with my hands a lot. I know simple household fixes, workin on cars and can pretty much whip up anything in a kitchen from scratch. I like teaching others what I know almost as much as I like learning new things.
