About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to somehow figure out how to condense my life into words on a page

ABOUT ME

I graduated university and hit the road, so I really haven´t started that whole real life process yet. I heard about CS way back when, but have been too in transit to really put my time in...But I´m young, interested in learning, and trying to see the world.

PHILOSOPHY

I´ve been living my life to try and understand life as a concept, especially with my neuroscience bent. But other than that, trying to understand other viewpoints on life and help others to be open ears.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had an incredible first experience with Alvaro in Guate, and it keeps getting better and better...

Interests

I study brains, so I guess i should say that I´m interested in them...but then again I´m traveling to avoid working with them, so there ya go. Most any form of music, books, or anything that really takes you out of yourself. News addict, political junkie, and fan of all sports, american and international.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most of my favorite movies are old and dense or new and pure entertainment. Th Third Man is all I can think of right now...

I´ve bee too wrapped up in my studies to do any serious reading for the last ten or so years, so I´m only starting to attack my list now. The recent list:
A Portrait of The Artist As A Young Man, Joyce
The Death of Ivan Ilyich, Tolstoy
Alice In Wonderland, Carrol
From the Land of Green Ghosts, Khoo Thwe
Hard-Boiled Wonderland and The End of the World, Murakami

Music is something that really takes up a lot of my time. I listen to a lot of older stuff (The Band, The Small Faces, etc.) and a lot of new stuff (Arcade Fire, Joanna Newsom), but its all in a pretty varied form.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I´ve built a submarine, poked brains, submitted new parts to a toy company, worked with an apparatus that won a nobel prize, went to my first concert at 5 months old, gone SCUBA diving at night... I don´t know, let´s share.

Teach, Learn, Share

I´ve tried to live my live to have as many varied experiences as possible, hopefully you have too. I can tell you more about your brain than you probably wish to know. Or, I am chock full of stuff from my other experiences - from the vagaries of the Manhattan lease market to how to best prolong a SCUBA dive experience through proper breathing.
