About Me
Writer, reader, friend.
PHILOSOPHY
I am always seeking new tastes, sounds, and sights. I hunt for the next conversation to expand my mind, the next person to challenge my ways.
Our world is far more loving than the newscasts would have us believe.
SLURP THE STEW OF LIFE
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to make more authentic connections than is common when staying in a hostel. I love spending time in other people's homes, and learning how kind people must be to open up their house for someone else to take refuge.
In March 2013 I played hooky from high school for a week and surfed couches in San Francisco, Portland, Olympia, and Seattle. Found my Beat identity and made lifetime friends along the way.
In Summer 2013 I toured up and down the East Coast with MGF J. Freeman and surfed the couches of both his and my pals, as well as of total strangers (who soon became friends!).
Since then I've surfed countless couches across South America and the SE US.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Years ago, Drinking an underage beerstein with my mother in Pike Place Market, Seattle, WA. One of the moments I will always cherish, which will always remind me to hold on tight to family. (We should call our mothers more often.)
That brusque afternoon we got lunch and watched the sun set from a third story seaside window, enjoying the wharf and lighthouse and ferris wheel. Serenity below, a bustling marketplace, and a glistening Sound that exploded into uncountable fragments of light.
Life was simple then. The Earth was a living, breathing lover.
Teach, Learn, Share
In terms of practical skills, I'm a writer of many forms, a hobbyist juggler, a professional balloon artist (and will gladly twist some shapes for you!), an experienced theatrical director, an improv comedian, and journalist. I am always asking questions?
In my brief years I've learned that, despite hardship and despite bitterness, people tend to unite, rather than divide. That we all have common loves: the dinner table, truth, music, stories, an honest smile to remind us that someone is listening.
Through my life I constantly try to foster an education in the ways of the world, and the works of its inhabitants.
When the time comes for my heart to stop beating and when the last synapse signs off, I hope to leave the world I've known as better off than when I landed on it twenty three years ago.
