Hi I'm Jake, I am a 23 yr old from somerset, England and I am currently on a Long trip around the world. I love most sports and play rugby and American football back home to stay healthy. I also love reading, particularly fantasy and historic novels such as Terry Pratchett or Simon Scarrow. I listen to a wide variety of music from metal to classical and indie to blues and I'm always looking to discover new bands. I have been travelling for 3 months now (October 2016) making my way across Europe and Russia by train which I've loved as this is my first big adventure. I like to think that I am friendly and outgoing and easy to get along with!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because i think that by staying wth a host or meeting someone to show you around you get a better experience of a city or place than just staying in a hotel or hostel. I enjoy learning about new cultures and traditions and who better to educate me than a local?

I love loads of bands such as Red hot chilli peppers, Sum 41, Adele, Black Sabbath, Led Zepplin, the blues brothers, the 1975, Alt-J, beastie boys, Don broco etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sang as part of a choir that performed at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in london. it was the last day of the Proms and all the acts were fantastic and as we were a large choir we were able to stay on the stage for all of the performances, a fantastic night.

I have been teaching GCSE level subjects one to one with a low ability student for the past two years so most things School wise i can help with!

What I Can Share with Hosts

hopefully a good time as I have a good sense of humour, a different perspective on their culture and an inquiring mind that will appreciate their home and their help. i have many stories from travelling already. but honestly most of what i can share is just me - Jake.
