ABOUT ME

I'm Jake, a 28 year old aussie male. Hyperactive, silly, rarely serious, and always smiling, I believe life is too short to spend moping about anything. It may be a chemical imbalance but I just cant stop being happy in almost any situation!
I grew up in Canberra, and moved to Perth in feb 2006.
I spend most of my time working away from home scaffolding, but I love my job and also all the interesting characters i get to meet.
When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my mates, playing squash, rockclimbing, jetskiing when I can get my hands on one, travelling, eating out and of course my favourite: the pub!!
I just arrived back in perth from my dream trip around europe. I worked hard, saved my pennies and travelled the world, seeing amazing sights and meeting so many great people!

PHILOSOPHY

Be happy and enjoy! Life is too short to waste time being sad or cranky!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have trouble accepting hospitality from people I don't know, I'm always worried I'm going to get in the way (yes it's silly I know!), and I only planned my trip one or two days ahead of time so I preferred to stay in hostels whilst travelling but using CS to meet people in every city I went. Everyone I met was wonderful and I made many many good friends who I still stay in touch with.
Unfortunately hosting is not possible where I'm staying at the moment but I am always happy to meet up, have a beer and have a laugh!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met so many amazing people through CS whilst travelling, the community was always there to support me no matter where I was and whatever I wanted to do. I will never forget the long lasting friendships I have made and look forward to many more.

Travel! Squash, rock climbing, kite flying, reading, music, whisky, jetskiing, bodysurfing, beaching, camping, hugging, craziness, stupidity, random adventures!
I am also a big big fan of NOONIES (a noonie is a siesta/nap/powernap).

Hmmmmm, so many...give me a movie that shocks me and make me think, give me a book that makes me laugh out loud. Music? Just give me music!
