ABOUT ME

I like to read, talk politics, discuss religion and matters of faith. I am the senior pastor of the church in which I grew up. For as long as I can remember, travel has been a priority in my life. When I was in high school I saved money to go to Europe with a travel club.

Rather than sticking close to home I went to college in New York. It was a great experience. I've completed my first master's degree (in theology), and I'm working on a second in counseling psychology.

PHILOSOPHY

We are not in control. The sooner we figure that out, the sooner we experience real freedom. Bottom line: God is God, and I am not.

I am actually pretty good at taking abstract theological / biblical stuff and explain it in practical, down-to-earth ways. I've also done lots of study in the field of attachment theory and addiction treatment.
