Overview
About Me
I finished my first year studying Business at University of California, Berkeley and went to travel in Europe for 6 months. I was born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up in Los Angeles, California since I was 5. I'm taking a year and a half off to travel and get out to see the world before going back to school. I want to learn about as many different cultures and see as much of the world as possible! I am venturing into the dark and unknown hoping to come back with a wide variety of experiences and knowledge about myself.
I'm now on a year long trip to see the other side of the Pacific ocean (Asia and Australia/ Oceana).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Although it can be tough to find a host, it's always worth it to meet such awesome people and especially locals!
I have little money but want to see and learn as much as I can and learn from all different people and cultures.
I am on a journey and dedicating this time to learn about myself and discover the world.
They say that we are the sum of our influences and I want my influences to be wide and inclusive.
Interests
I love to learn about the social and political issues in each country!
I hope to spend some time in the future working in a ship. I also am planning a motorcycle trip next summer in Asia and would love some advice on how to do that!
I love music, but just started listening to music a lot only about a year ago. I love Pink Floyd, Alt-J, Tame Impala, Kanye and listen mostly to hip hop and rap, but want to expand to everything.
I am just starting to write poetry and hope to get much better at it.
I just bought a guitar and am learning to play and want to be able to make my own music!
I don't know how to cook yet :( I'd really love to learn!

Chistopher Nolan, Beautiful Mind, Tarantino, Slumdog Millionaire
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent $2,000 in 4 months in 15 countries in Europe.
When I was 17, I hopped on a bus to San Francisco during spring break to travel. The next summer, I traveled in Guatemala for a month, mostly doing volunteer work. These first tastes have opened my eyes to the world of traveling and backpacking and have led me to the year long travels I now embark on!
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak three languages and can juggle! I am very interested in books, meditation, spirituality, and movies. Above all, I have a huge passion for culture and think that I can share that.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I offer my best as a guest and a young mind eager to learn all that I can! I feel that part of my journey will be learning from all the great experiences and philosophies shared by the great people on couch surfing! I can share my knowledge about life, culture, and events in US and partly about Korea. I am just starting my travels, but hope to meet many people learning from them and sharing everything I learn along the way!
I would also love to help around the house, take out the trash, clean, or do the dishes! Anything I can do to help is the least I can do in exchange for a place to sleep!
