Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

To change the World, one conversation at a time

ABOUT ME

What a weird thing to do. write all about myself as if i know who i am. I love being outside (sunny rainy, snowy). Love my bike, its my baby. That might be because there are times when i am in a car, and get this gross feeling in my stomach and then i realize i would rather be on my bike. Talking to people is a lot of fun for me, anyone. Doesn't matter, i just love talking. I do it too much, but i've gotten good at sounding like i know what i am talking about (i usually dont) I have worked with kids for most of my life (and by work with kids, all it really means is a like to play games and draw and have snack, etc...) I'm pretty sure this couchsurfing thing is super duper awesome ( no one uses super duper anymore, im gonna bring it back) See i'm rambling and im not even talking right now. Can you ramble on a computer anyways ( i just said ramble on....good song) O that reminds me, i love music. What kind of music, well ive figured out how to answer this question after many nights of contemplating.....i like good music. Very profound, i know. On the music subject, i like dancing to it a lot too. i dont really think i like anything more than dancing to live music. The webpage i am on, i just realized, has like 5 more questions i need to answer so im going to save my carpal tunnel for later (is that how you spell carpal tunnel?)

PHILOSOPHY

"Do not burn yourselves out. Be a reluctant enthussiast .. A part time crusader, a half hearted fanatic. Save the other half of yourselves and your lives for pleasure and adventure. So get out thereand hunt and fish and mess around with your friends, ramble out yonder and explore the forests, climb the mountains bag the peaks run the rivers. Breathe deep of that yet sweet and lucid air, sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, the lovely mysterious and awesome space. Enjoy yourselves keep your brain in your head and your head firmly attached to the body, the body active and alive and I promise you this much; I promise you this one sweet victory over our enemies, over those desk bound men and women with their hearts in safe deposit boxes, and their eyes hypnotised by desk calculators. I promise you this; You will out live the bastards!"

Música, películas y libros

I dont own cable televisions so my collection of VHS movies (yes, they still exist) is quite extensive. Movies at goodwill are like 2 dollars! Like i said before good music is my favorite. No genres, that boxes me in. i am really into bluegrass right now, but im sure that obsession will shift at some point.
Books: Infinite Jest, Bob Dylan: Chronicles, Sometimes a great Notion, Story of B, Secret Knowledge of water, John Muir-Thousand Mile walk to the Gulf (the dude seriously walked from Indianapoliso the tip of florida right after the civil war), Sailor Song, Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, On the Road, Power of Myth, Monkeywrench Gang, Desert Solitaire

Algo increíble que he hecho

Rowing a boat on the Colorado River in The Grandest of Canyons kind of changed my whole perspective on life. Since that fateful experience the grand canyon has cast a spell on me that i don't see wearing away anytime soon.
