About Me
Hi!
I’m Jake and I'm a fundraiser and mental health advocate from Brighton, currently preparing to run 150 miles along the Grand Union canal path in 6 days while I raise money for Shelter.
A few years ago I spent a year walking 3,000 miles around mainland Great Britain and I used Couchsurfing a fair bit during that time. I’ve not had much cause to use it since but as this upcoming challenge may prove to be my toughest yet, I would be pathetically grateful to anybody who lives on or near the Grand Union Canal between Birmingham and London who is able to put me up for a night.
I consider myself to be a good-natured and kind person, who enjoys the company of others and loves good conversation. I love the unknown - new places, new people and new experiences suit me much more than staying in one place. Total adventurer at heart.
