Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had my first contact with the couch surfing idea (at that time i even did't now that this is going to be the beginning..) when two Canadians going by bike knocked at my door and asked to put up a tent in the garden. We started a conversation - they did a world journey and doring their stay in Europe they went by bike only. I really liked the way they thought about the world and travelling.
So at the end they slept 4 to five nights at my place; and of course it was great, having good conversations;
explaining them many things about Austrian culture and Vienna!
After that I went to Istanbul over New Years Eve 2011 to meet some freinds there. My second couch surfing experience; where people showed me the other side of the project. :)
I had the possibility to surf many different couches! it simply had been great! thank you people for hosting me!
And last but not least: In the middle of Febuary a Hungarian friend of me came to Vienna and brought two friends from Istanbul; I hosted them for some days; I think it was a really great time - showing them arround in Vienna, going by bike. Meeting friends and partying in the evning. thank you!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Yes, I already wrote about it:
It happened when two Canadians came through Austria, biking next to the Danube River; looking for a place to stay.
Thy were travelling around the world, already visited South America; then came to Europe (where i met them in a huge coincident) and went on to Africa, South-East Asia and Australia.
In one of our great conversations they told me that they sold their flat and all the stuff people normally use for living. and then started travelling!
I really liked the idea of stepping back a little bit; getting a new, better point of view about what life is all about.
getting new ideas, get in touch with other cultures, do totally new things; be spontanuous..
