Hey my name is Jakob and usually you find me on the road. Sometimes I live in western Germany close to Cologne. I’m an active, open minded, young man looking for people from the whole world to connect.
I started traveling through a two week travel scholarship to Beijing, China when I was 16. After that I received a scholarship for an exchange year to Michigan, USA when I was 17. After that I finished school in Germany, traveled in my free time and then went to work on a cruise ship as a photographer for 5 months. After that I went hitchhiking for 2 month with a tent, backpack and my girlfriend Aenna. After that we went on board again. After that… well there’s no „After that“ yet. I‘m working on it… 😜

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the concept of CS because I want to connect with people from different backgrounds and cultures and also get to see foreign places with the eyes of locals.

Music: A good mix of Rap, Hip-Hop, Indie, Rock and sometimes even pop.

Movies: I‘m really not a movies guy, although I would like to get to see more of the good ones. I just don’t use my time a lot in front of a TV (unless a good football match is on…).

Books: Anything that’s inspiring and gives me positive vibes. Started reading through the books of John Strelecky.
