My girlfriend Vivien and I are both into living an active lifestyle and we love to spend our time in nature. Therefore, we try to live a sustainable life - we use public transport, use less resources by travelling by bike and tent and consume sustainable food. We also think that couchsurfing is a great way of travelling more sustainably. From our experiences with Couchsurfing and also Warmshowers, we enjoyed connecting with other people and got some impressions of how they live/travel. We both think, that travelling via Couchsurfing is a much more authentic travel experience.

Some background about me: I love mountaineering, paragliding, rock climbing and overall all activities and sports in nature. Overall I'm an adventure guy but I would describe myself also as a chilled, kind person. Also, the word "pragmatic" has to be in a description about me - I am easy going, trying to find easy solutions and I don't worry too much. I don't need much and if I'm requesting a stay at your place, chances are high that I have my bivouac equipment with me and I could sleep in your garden, if you have one. I like connecting but I also highly respect time, resources and privacy of my guests and hosts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel the mountains and I want to be able to get the opportunity to travel low budget. Also, I want to enable the exact same thing to other people. I also believe that this is a much more sustainable way of travelling and I always enjoy getting to know other couchsurfers.
