Overview
About Me
Spent a couple of years living in different countries doing all sorts of jobs: chef, kayaking instructor, english teacher and business consultant.
Met lots of amazing people on the way only to return to my hometown with a bag full of wonderful stories and priceless memories.
I have an endless craving for foreign cultures. I love the unexpected and the weird, but appreciate a bit of normal.
Cooking and food is a big part of my life. Going out and meeting people another one. Hearing and telling stories could be a third.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Sometimes I wish I had the superpower of telling every tourist in my home town all the secret spots, the nooks and crannies, the special somethings that make Vienna great.
In the same way I know that a city is never what it seems and you can never understand neither culture nor people unless you see it through the eyes of a local. Now, I'm not much into collecting random eyeballs, so getting to know locals has to do for me.
In all seriousness though: I'm simply curious. Curious about what lies beyond the surface, about the why and the how, and about the things that are not known by many but being held precious by few.
Interests
Everything that starts with ingredients and ends in a delicious meal.
Drawing and writing.
Any kind of sporty activity. Anything that involves swimming, hiking, cycling or boats.
Discovering places of beauty.
Hearing your story.
A night train full of people, food and good conversations.
And most importantly: Learning something new. Hopefully about your culture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Working as a chef for half a year in Australia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to:
- Spin a pen around my finger,
- Cook traditional Austrian cuisine,
- Play the violin,
- sew,
- make friends with the grumpy old janitor,
- bake delicious cookies.
- and more...
I want to learn how to:
- do whatever it is you're passionate about.
What I Can Share with Hosts
An abundance of good mood and sometimes equally good jokes.
The spontaneity to go out and do some fly-fishing or whatever you're into.
My humble collection of drawings and bits of writing.
And endless stream of interest for your story.
