ABOUT ME

Hey there,
I'm Jakob and I‘m currently travelling through Uruguay and Argentina with my friend Anna. We’re 26 and 23 years old and study geology at the same university in Germany. We just finished a 2 weeks field trip and are now free and looking for interesting people to meet, which maybe can show us some cool local stuff, if they want to. Unfortunately our Spanish skills are very limited, but by now we’re getting along quite well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think when travelling around, getting to know local people is a more efficient way of getting to the core of different cultures, rather than looking into tourist guides. So that’s why I’m here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My 7 month trip to New Zealand was by now probably the coolest thing I did so far. But Uruguay and Argentina are getting close.

Teach, Learn, Share

Right now I’m studying Geology in my Masters and want to work later in the environmental geochemistry direction. So I have a lot of useless knowledge about rocks, but I’m also interested in nature in general and environmental stuff in particular. Anna’s doing the same thing.
