Hey, I'm Jakub.

I was born in the second biggest city in Slovakia—Kosice, where I spent most of my childhood. When I was 18 I decided to leave Slovakia and study abroad. I finished my studies in Horsens (Denmark) in 2021 and work as a software engineer.

In my free time, I like to workout; cook vegan food; dance salsa and bachata, read about urbanism, sustainability and self-development; share wine with friends or just watch van-life videos on YouTube.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always loved talking to people who can teach me something new and something they're passionate about. I believe that exploring new countries, meeting people and getting to know their cultures makes us more empathetic and open-minded, and it helps us to appreciate life more :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a month off from work, booked flight tickets to Colombia and went there without any plans in 2022. I did the same thing back in 2021 and flew to Miami. I love to be spontaneous...
