Hi, my name is Jakub Kwiatkowski, I am 22 years old, my profession is an IT specialist.

I am currently studying computer science at the University of Opole.
I am happy to meet new people and visit places I have not been to 🙂
I am interested in music, movies, computer science, computer graphics and new technologies!
I have a dog at home whose name is Cosmo, which I adopted from the street.

I often travel with my friend Rafał! He is also 22 years old, he is from the same city as me and he is studying with me at the University of Opole!
Rafał is a Graphic Designer, he specializes in creating covers for music CDs, overlays for livestreams, business cards and much more 😄
If you want, he can teach you how to use a few programs or make some graphics for you! 🙂
Rafał is interested in new technologies, marketing, automotive, hiking in the mountains, motorcycles, he also likes to go fishing in his spare time 🙂

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I said I like to meeting new people in new places, learn new things from them and of course visit to new places and meet new cultures!

I registered on the website because Rafał and I were planning another trip, first we thought about booking a hotel, as always, but then we thought it would be better to stay at someone's house, meet a new person, learn new things, help the person we are staying with or maybe learn the history of the place where we will stay!

We think that traveling and talking to people who live in a given place is much more interesting than staying in a hotel and visiting the most popular places 🙂 in this way you can get to know the lifestyle of people in a new place, their positive and negative feelings about a given country.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a great horizons when it comes to my music taste. For now my favourites genres is just Hip-Hop (favourite genre for a long time), Some Electronic music like IDM or Ambient, and Rock for example and a lot of subgenres of rock music (math-rock, prog-rock etc).

I love watching movies too! Some of them is close to my heart like Kubrick's stuff, all of them are masterpieces!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At the age of 18 I went to the Netherlands and lived there for a few months, and my friend Rafał, whom I mentioned, went to Northern Ireland at the same age!
Rafał also bungee jumped several times and his record jump is 222 meters!

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach you a few tricks in graphics programs, teach you interesting computer operations, and if you have an abandoned old guitar in the corner somewhere, we can teach you one song 😄 (we can only play one 😄)

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can take a Polish sweets with us! We can cook a Polish dish, we can help you with your household chores, maybe we can even fix something! 🙂 We can also teach you some basic Polish words!
