It's so cool when I can host people coming from different countries, speaking different languages, having different culture and different way of thinking. It doesn't cost me anything to offer them a place to stay and this favor can be later returned when it's me who's traveling and needs a place to stay. Hotels are usually unnecessary expensive and you can't gain the same experience as with staying with a local.
