About Me

7-10/2017: Mostly outside Prague, so don't be angry if I do not reply, I am probably without internet...

4/2017 Update: starting April moving back to Prague

9/2016: Hi CS friends, I left Prague to start my new life & soul searching mission :) I will be time to time around as a visitor so we can meet up but I can not host anyone anymore.... at least for next few months

******************

Well, I am always open to new adventures and crazy stuff, exploring don't frighten me at all. I think that life begins at the end of your comfort zone. I love to learn new things and keep myself busy, to meet new people and have great talks about everything possible because I am interested in lots of fields. I love helping people because I believe that what someone might call a sacrifice is an opportunity to make someone else happy. The joy that comes from that is greater than that from being selfish. And like sharing because sharing special moments with a perfect stranger is like a dynamite. I am friendly and passionate and I truly believe that love is friendship on fire. Generally I am optimist that tries to see the positive things with everyone even though sometimes it’s quite difficult. Recently I started to believe in karma, it means I believe we all have our destiny which we can’t escape even if we see it coming. It doesn’t mean I am fatalist waiting what happen and then complaining, I think we can change the world, at least we should try, because the only limitations are our thoughts and fears. Simply said I am a dreamer trying to live each moment worthful and enjoy every moment. It was hard for me to realize that nothing lasts forever, so live it up, drink it down, laugh it off, avoid the bullshit, take chances and never have regrets because it is not so hard to die when you know you have lived. And never forget to have a fun because fun is a renewable resource :) So that’s me and my philosophy.

If you want to stay with me please prior sending request read my profile to know who you are going to stay with, especially the "My Home" section. I will find out if you didn't. To be honest im getting sick of time wasters not reading my profile and sending me copy&paste requests. I'm still waiting on a decent request from someone who has actually READ my profile

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Less than 2 years ago I used CS for the first time in my life (accompanying my ex-gf) during our trip to Japan and it was an amazing experience. I met many wonderful people so I decided to join the community and try to repay their generosity toward me (us). Since then I have met many amazing couchsurfers and some of those really changed the way I see the world... And of course I'm interested in meeting new people from other countries, learn from them, have fun and make new experiences. I truly believe it's much more than just free accommodation - it's the way how to have real insight in cultures and people. You can hear some stories or see some place that you can't find in guide book. And it is great if you can help to someone else. Once I read "come as a stranger, leave as a friend" and that's why I love CS. I regret that I didn't used CS earlier.

Interests

Traveling of course (sightseeing, landscape, meeting people), I love movies and books, I am food lover and occasionally I am trying to cook by my own (I have to be honest I am not very good at it, but I didn't poison anyone yet ;P), doing sports (swimming, hiking, biking, going to the gym), anything outdoors, social gatherings, hanging out with friends and everything about science (science centres and museums), philosophy, history, photography

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a fan of 80's and 90's rock and anything else worth to listening such as Queen, Nirvana, Def Leppard, Killers, Manic Street Preachers, Cranberries, Reef, Linkin Park, U2, Beatles and lot of Czech nad Slovak bands (UDG, Vypsaná fixa, XindlX, Support Lesbiens, I.M.T Smile), also classics and relaxation music :)
It‘s said You are what you read, and my repertoire includes scientific books, cook books, travel books (such as Travel bible), science fiction, philosophy, photography, historic novels but you can find in my library also Kama Sutra. What says it about me? :P Now I read Shōgun (amazing novel by James Clavell), I recently read The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari (Sharma), few books by Richard Bach (The Bridge Across Forever, Jonathan Livingston Seagull etc.), some Coelho's books, some sci-fi by Isaac Asimov and my favourite Saturnin... but sometimes I read some junk to flush the brain only :)
And I like all kinds of movies, depends on actual mood :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have quitted all my jobs to start my soul searching mission :) In last two months went by foot from Prague through Czech Paradise and Snezka (Czech biggest mountain) to Poland (pilgrimage to clean my mind), spend few days with friend hitchhiking around Poland, attended Woodstock festival (a huge and free music event), then moved back to Prague where started LowCostRace (travel competition, 10 days, 40 places all over Europe with limited budget 2500 CZK)... and this is just the beginning :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I am scientist and university teacher… so I am willing to learn everything because I am very curious about wide range of fields (scientist should be :p) and I can teach you whatever you want and I know (yeah, teacher :p). I would like to improve my poor language and cooking skills and learn any kind of dances even though I am talent-less :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My companionship, my everyday life, my knowledge (it’s poor but feel free to pick my brain), travel and other stories, my way of living and maybe also some dish if you are brave enough ;) And of course I can teach you some Czech dirty words :)
