About Me

I'm 25 years old guy from Slovakia. Currently I'm starting my PhD at KU Leuven, Belgium.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been in many countries staying in hotels, private houses, in accomodation of friends and family... I think couchsurfing is next step to know the world better. I would like to know new people and know how they live. As an university student in my age I think it is ideal time to try couchsurfing.
(update: Couchsurfing is really what I was looking for and I'm not dissapointed - my experience was as I thought it will be, or even better).

Interests

•Sports - cycling, running, swimming, skiing, football, bedminton and every other sport that can I enjoy with friends. Cycling and running aren't typical sports for me - they can be understood as pure sports, but for me it is something more, something like way of travelling that I enjoy most.
•Reading (historical novels, fantasy, thrillers, even sci-fi - i don't mind, if it's book worth to read)
•Sightseeing, hiking, travelling - exploring new.
•Listen good music or watch good film. But I am not this type of person who must see everything what's new in cinema or can argue hours why this song is the best. About 50% of my time spend watching TV I watch sport - football (spanish La Liga, champions league, international cups) or hockey, Tour de France or other sports like athletics, volleyball, handball if I find it interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
-various genres and interprets: rock, pop, punk, metal or sometimes classical music: Queen, Offspring, Red Hot Chilly Peppers, Cranberries, Skillet, Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, some slovak bands, music from my childhood (how unusual, right?) and so on.

MOVIES
-as with music, I don't have favorite one. Lord of the Rings, Leon, Intouchables, Wild Tales - that are the first four that came to my mind. Maybe I slightly prefer comedies. And of course TV shows like The Simpsons, Top Gear and Big Bang Theory.

BOOKS
As I say in "My Interests" I don't have favorite book. I like books from Robert Harris, Dmitrij Glukhovskij, J. R. Tolkien, Christopher Paolini or even Terry Deary.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is hard to pick. Maybe that I overcome my fear of heights and passed Europe’s longest zip wiree over the gorge (280 m long!). But on the first place I would pick organizing holidays for family, trips for friend. It is good feeling to organize three day bike trip for 14 people which makes them happy.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can tell you something about Slovakia or Czech republic. I have also visited a lot of countries in Europe, but you probably too.
I can bake good apple strudel! (or other apple based cakes - there is part of a year, it's called autumn, when there are apples everywhere in Slovakia. So even if you made them into spirits, jams... there is plenty of them and you need to find out what to do with them). But I don't know if I can get ingredients abroad.
Are you collecting something? Tell me in advance and I will look for something special from my region.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to know how people live and what their opinions are in other countries. And this is first thing I can share with you - something about me and my small country. We can talk almost about anything, but I don’t like politics. Or politicians? :D
I can play sport with you or some videogames if you want. Either I don’t mind help with some work.

Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
