Overview
About Me
My name is Jakub, I was born in Czech republic and I am half Czech and half Slovak. Since I was 12 years old, I lived abroad though. I studied on a grammar school in Germany and then continued to study Politics at the University of Passau, located in southern Germany, in Bavaria, and also EU law, politics and economics at the University of Salzburg in Austria and International Relations at LUISS University in Rome, Italy. At the moment I am living in Prague and working for the Czech Office of the Government where I am organizing the upcoming Czech Presidency in the EU.
I absolutely love travelling. Since I was young, I was travelling with my parents pretty much and in the last years I am travelling already by myself or with my friends. Until now I have visited more than 40 countries on 4 continents and I am still curious about exploring new ones.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing doesn't only mean for me a cheap option to travel, but also a great possibility to meet new people from all over the world. From my personal experience I know that you get to know a country best when you stay with the locals there and the concept of couchsurfing enables this.
