Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To shake off the New York City dust from my shoes.
ABOUT ME
I had been living in New York, but for the past year, after quitting some kind of bogus economics nine to five, I've been wandering around fairly aimlessly, somewhat content to float on the breeze of no responsibility. Really a nice guy, I think.
PHILOSOPHY
Everybody does the best they can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As soon as I have a new apartment, there´ll be a couch for you.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Oh, quite a few good experiences. I've stayed with some especially fun and genuine people out in the mid-western USA, and likewise in Berlin and Hamburg.
Interests
Let's see, I play the guitar and piano, and I've been writing songs lately. I like painting and photography. I like walking across entire cities in one day. I'm always drawn into museums, especially if they have any Picasso, or Chagall or Kandinsky. Perhaps most of all I like finding places where I can experience something like peace of mind.

Music, Movies, and Books
Woody Allen mostly. Bob Dylan, the Beatles. I go through periods where I become infatuated with a single musician or group, like the above two, or previous ones like Louis Armstrong and Django Rheinhardt. With books it's hard to say, often I'm very engrossed in non-fictional works such as the very interesting Society of Mind by Marvin Minsky.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A man surfing his own couch (mind boggling!)
Also: a meadow at dusk (in the rockie mountains, there were Elk!)
Teach, Learn, Share
I really would like to teach someone piano if they have one in their house and never play it.
