About Me

I’m pretty easygoing and love trying new things. Traveling has always been a big part of my life, and it’s cool to connect with people from all over and hear their stories.

Mountain biking is one of my favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors—especially the downhill rush. I’m not as into the climb, but once I’m flying down the trail, it’s all worth it. I’ve also recently gotten my motorcycle license, and I love getting on my dual-purpose bike, listneing to my tunes, and just going for a ride. Sometimes I’ll take it off-road and cruise along some dirt trails—just enjoying the ride at my own pace.

When I’m not biking, I like to take my dog for walks in the Redcliff Coulees. It’s a great way to get outside and enjoy the scenery. I’ve also recently gotten into woodworking, and it’s been a fun way to challenge myself and make something with my hands.

In the summer, you’ll probably find me outside reading or hanging out by a fire with friends. Simple stuff, but it’s the little things that make life good.

When it comes to traveling, I’d rather skip the busy touristy spots (though I get why they’re so popular) and prefer taking the more authentic route. Getting off the beaten track and learning about how other people live is what truly excites me about exploring new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I first discovered Couchsurfing, I thought it was an awesome way to meet people from all over the world—kind of like staying in hostels. It’s a great way to connect with others, swap stories, and learn about different cultures. I love the idea of not just seeing a place, but also experiencing it through the people who live there.

I’ve hosted way more than I’ve stayed with others, but it’s been such a rewarding experience to meet people from all over and hear their unique stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is definitely something I enjoy—it’s honestly something that has fed my soul. I love electronic music, especially tech/deep house and minimal tech, but I’m always looking to explore different sounds. I also enjoy soft alt-indie-rock style music. Beyond that, I’m all about immersing myself in music from different cultures. There’s something incredible about discovering new rhythms, instruments, and styles from around the world.

I’m always open to hearing new genres and discovering fresh sounds—whether it’s something totally new or just a hidden gem I haven’t found yet!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Mozambique, our scuba diving crew had the unbelievable opportunity to jump into the water after a dive and swim with a humpback whale that was breaching near our boat. I couldn’t believe it—honestly, it felt like one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced. Such a majestic creature, and I felt so fortunate to share that incredible moment with my dive crew.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m all about good company! Whether it’s sharing a beer, heading out for a night at the local pubs, or just chilling and having a conversation to get to know each other better, I’m always up for some fun and connecting with others.
