We are Ilisio (28), Jaleesa (26) a spontaneous, adventurous, open minded travel couple. We were born in the Netherlands, but our roots are in western afrika (cape verde islands).

We have a passion for traveling, love culture, good food, sports and like to meet new people. We are always in for a good conversation, fun and adventure!

Ilisio, I never liked school and chose to work as a painter at a young age. After 10 years I chose to travel.
Jaleesa, I graduated in Social Studies at the University and worked with children with mental problems.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We both come from large families so we love to be surrounded by people. During travel we would like to get in touch with locals. We believe that in this way you get to know the country better. While traveling we not only want to visit the tourist spots, but also want to get an idea of ​​how people actually live in a country. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have done so many beautiful things, but if we have to choose one, then celebrating the Hindu family festival 'diwali' in India with an Indian family. Experiencing so close to other people's cultural norms, values ​​and rituals was amazing.
