About Me

NOTE: FLAT IS CURRENTLY UNDER RENOVATION SO CAN'T HOST AT THE MOMENT. SORRY!

CURRENT MISSION

To meet, learn about and share an experience with the wonderful and generous people that populate this small clump of rock we call earth!

PHILOSOPHY

“Don't be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth.” ― Rumi, The Essential Rumi

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Every time I turn on the TV our world is always portrayed as dangerous or scary. I don't believe that's the case, I believe the world is beautiful and its people are generous and kind. I hope to travel and meet others that prove me right!

Interests

I am a freelance video editor and Grime Artist based in London. My passion is making music and much of the video work I do is editing music videos. So I'm very interested in getting to know the local Rap/Hip-Hop scenes in the countries I visit as well as participating in them! Grime is the UK version of "Hip-Hop" so I always like to see how other countries have their own take on Hip-Hop!

When travelling I also love to go off the beat and track. Anyone who is into urban exploration or likes to discover hidden places would find me a great companion!

Music, Movies, and Books

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and The Foundation by Isaac Asimov

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played a game with a friend where we threw five darts at a map of Honk Kong and wouldn't come home till it was completed. We ended up at the oldest Tin Hau Temple on the Island and the highest mountain point Sharp Peak. Lucky throw right? Maybe not quite "amazing" but I think it's pretty cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about video editing and general creative software skills (such as photoshop and premiere pro) and I can teach you about UK Grime culture! I grew up with it and feel a personal attachment to our music scene so I know it inside out from the history to the success in recent years and the greatest artists!

I can also offer some basic French (although I'm a little rusty since I haven't lived in France for 4 years..) I'm eager to learn other languages, currently I am learning Korean and Vietnamese quite actively but also have had a stab at Thai and Spanish. I can also teach some martial arts skills to anyone interested, I have a decent foundation and know a lot of theory!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope my positive outlook on life and willingness to try knew things will make me good company for a host. I'm am also very eager to learn from others experiences so they will always have an ear to listen to their stories with great interest!
