About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm laid back, love to travel, talk and share food/drink with my friends and soon-to-be friends. I love being the hostess and Andrew and I throw a mean party, whether its a birthday, Christmas or fourth of July. I'm a Chicagoan, so I miss baseball and hotdogs and deep dish pizza, but I love living in Spain. I'm obsessed with languages, and love talking about them, and how to learn them. I love people and just wilt away if I don't have lots of people around me.
PHILOSOPHY
All who wander are not lost, but those who wander, find those that are lost, and can show them the way home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My husband has his own profile, and we have hosted several couch surfers and surfed together. See El_Trotamundo for feedback and references. Since I"m traveling to conferences this year, I may travel alone, with him, or with a friend, so I need my own profile.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
LOVE IT. Hosting, surfing, its been great. See El_Trotamudo, my husband's profile for past experiences.
Interests
I teach English as a Second Language to children and adults, and I am a PhD student in Second Language Acquistions at the University of Granada. I sing in a classical choir, and I do triathlons. I take pictures, preferbly with quirky film cameras. I am addicted to facebook, and I listen to house and techno and pop music with no shame whatsoever. When I read, its like I'm gulping for air, when I study, its like its going out of style. I am unashamedly a nerd that loves to have great hair.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Marrying my husband. Moving to Spain. Grieving over loss in my life, and learning the new normal. Finishing a triathlon and seeing my team at the finish line as I crossed it. Standing on top of the Sierra Nevada in Granada and seeing the city and world stretched before me.
Teach, Learn, Share
Language is amazing. Its more than words and grammar, its culture and beliefs and worldview all wrapped into one little package.
