About Me
Hi there,
PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE REQUESTING. THANKS. I only host members who are 100% verified.
I'm a 53 year old gay man who loves sleeping on other people's couches. Looking for couch surfers who will encourage me to keep working out and losing weight, which is my new goal. have a Masters Degree in Human Services and currently working toward certification and licensure in addiction counseling. So if you’re an addict, be prepared for counseling and intervention. I'm a pretty spiritual guy with a liberal progressive Christian background. I've been a very active member of my church for 12 years now. So if you’re staying with me on a Sunday please consider yourself welcome at my church. I volunteer quite a bit for charity fundraisers and social justice issues. Other things about me: non-smoker, non-alcohol, non-drug, non-drama, great listener, respectful, considerate, helpful, come with great references, love animals, willing to help around the house.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m a sucker for pretty young gay boys. Straight boys are okay as long as they are okay with being admired by gay men. If you’re homophobic please move on.

Music, Movies, and Books
Very eclectic musical tasks, mostly oldies, classic anything, easier to say what I'm not into (like club music, hip hop), classic literature to Harry Potter, love documentaries, my favorite TV Show is Shameless (U.S. version).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been an activist in the LGBTQ Community for over 20 or so years. When I lived in NYC back in the 90's I started a group called Greater Love Outreach (GLO). It was a great experience and I made some incredible friends. When I moved back to Boston I continued the tradition of GLO and started a group called GayLab, Inc. for healthy relationships, which included topic discussions about relationship issues, speed dating events, dances, fundraisers, HIV Prevention education. I did that for 6 years. Over the last eight years, and perhaps what I'm most proud of, is having started my church's annual Drag Gospel Festival, and which my church is widely known for. We will be having our 8th Annual Drag Gospel Festival in Boston this October. When I'm not in grad school for Human Services, I'm working in Human Services as a Direct Care Worker for a family homeless shelter.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach someone to play a few basic chords on guitar and give some pointers on singing. I like to sing karaoke. A lot of people consider me to be a great listener and confidant. My friends always come to me for free therapy. God help them if I start charging. I think I will be a great Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor. As for learning, I'd love to start learning some Spanish. I suppose I'll have to break down and get that Rosetta Stone software. Share? Hmm. Well I'm definitely helpful and useful when it come to household chores. I earn my keep. I'm helpful with organizing and downsizing.
