Overview
About Me
I am 24 years old from the United Kingdom and I have just spent 6 months in Cali Colombia!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I absolutely love the philosophy of the app and it seems the perfect way to experience the country. I am eager to get local’s insights and recommendations and make friends along the way.
I am definitely a people person and love conversing with others. Couchsurfing offers the perfect opportunity to connect with people I otherwise would never have met. I am keen to discuss life, politics or just about anything with my hosts and through this process grow as a person by encountering different perspectives.
Interests
My two primary interests are music and reading but I do enjoy exploring other things. I have been meditating for over 3 years. Although I’m still an amateur in the grand scheme of things I can definitely offer some help in getting started.
I have been learning to DJ over the last 9 months focusing primarily on house music but I am interested to discover any dance music you may also enjoy!
I am also a big football (soccer) fan, following a small London club called AFC Wimbledon (the same place as the tennis). I have recently got into basketball as well living in the US, made even better by KU winning the national championship! I have been going to games since I could walk and so have a great insight into the great and awful parts of football culture.
Other more minor interests include: festivals, gym, art, podcasts

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a fairly diverse range of music primarily: rock (60/70s), US hip hop (80s-00s), house/tech, jazz, blues, funk, reggae
I don’t consider myself a film buff however I have made my way through a considerable number of “must see” films. I will watch pretty much anything but I prefer films that make you think
This is one topic I can speak on for hours! I always have a book on the go preferring non-fiction on topics such as politics, philosophy, economics, psychology and some basic sciencey stuff. I do also try and stay cultured with some literature, a few authors I’ve enjoyed reading are Orwell, Huxley and Dostoyevsky
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went skydiving in Australia aged 14
Teach, Learn, Share
As I have lived in Colombia for the past 6 months I can offer you an insight into the cultural differences and similarities of our two countries!
I absolutely love to learn and so have an opinion on pretty much anything! I doubt you will have an interest that I am not at the very least curious to learn about/discuss.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m keen to share my experiences of living in Colombia for the past few months and my travels around the world. I value genuine connection and am excited to meet new people and discuss their opinions and personal philosophies. I am very laid back, clean and respectful (citation needed) and may, if it’s a particularly good day, even offer you some laughs.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belgium, Canada, England, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Mauritius, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, United States
