I am originally from Hampton, Virginia. I am a teacher by education. I worked in Japan for a short while. I am now returning to Japan to continue teaching and traveling in and around Asia.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love groups like the Foo Fighters. For some reason, I like J-pop acts like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Perfume...I haven't figured out why!

I read horror: zombies, ghost stories, Gothic horror, and (nearly) anything by Stephen King; Sci-fi: The Expanse series, Enders Game and the like. I also read books by Haruki Murakami (The Elephant Vanishes is my top pick from his body of work).

Movies: I am pretty open, however, I am not a big fan of war movies and biopics.
