About Me

I recently moved back to the United States after many years living overseas. While abroad, Couchsurfing was a huge part of my life. I hosted hundreds of travelers and was fortunate to be hosted all over the world as well. Those experiences shaped how I travel and connect with people, so I’m curious and excited to explore Couchsurfing again here in the U.S., even though I know the culture around it can feel a bit different.

I’m easygoing and low-key, but usually up for an adventure too. I love meeting new people, sharing stories, and having experiences that feel genuine rather than rushed or touristy. When I travel, I’m always drawn to understanding how locals actually live. Everyday life, rhythms, food, and conversations matter to me, and Couchsurfing has always been the best way I’ve found to build those kinds of connections.

Two of my biggest passions are travel and food. I love connecting to a culture through its cuisine and sharing my own culture through cooking as well. I’m always happy to cook or share a home-cooked meal with hosts or guests. It’s one of my favorite ways to connect. I’m a pretty good cook, and I spent many years teaching Spanish cooking to tourists.

Another long-standing interest of mine is massage and bodywork. I’ve studied it for years as a form of relaxation, communication, and well-being. This includes tantric massage, which for me is rooted in mindfulness, consent, and respect. There's a lot of misconceptions about so feel free to ask. If interested, I’m happy to share this skill. If I’m traveling by car, I sometimes even have my massage table with me, which makes things more comfortable.

I consider myself open-minded and respectful, and I’m comfortable in a range of environments, from very traditional to clothing-optional spaces. I've been hosted in very conservative muslim households in Morocco and very liberal nudists home in Europe and pretty much everything in between. I enjoyed all of the experiences. InWhether nude or clothed, I always follow the comfort level and boundaries of the people I’m with.

At the moment, I’m staying with family, so I’m not hosting yet. I’m very much looking forward to hosting again once I’m settled on my own.

If you enjoy meaningful conversations, shared meals, and relaxed company, we’ll probably get along well.

I love spending time with my host but have no problem being independent as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and meet new people. When I lived overseas, I spent years both hosting and surfing, and Couchsurfing became a big part of how I experienced the world. It feels a bit different here in the States, and traveling by car adds its own quirks, but I’m excited to explore Couchsurfing in this context and build up a new profile.

I still believe Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to travel, because it lets you experience everyday life with locals rather than just passing through as a visitor.
