About Me

We’re a small family on a hobby farm. Myself, my wife and our little girl. We are just open people who love making new friends, and believe kindness is the best way to make the world a better place. I’m jonesing to travel, and I am happy to respond in kind and open up my home to travelers. Don’t pay for a lame overpriced hotel. Come stay on a beautiful hill and wake up to the sound of a rooster instead of a car horn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was planning a trip to Brazil, was shocked at the price of accommodations, and just kept thinking “Surely there must be a friendly person who would let me rent a room! How great would that be!?” Then I remembered…couch surfing. I love this whole idea. I’m just happy to provide a safe place for people to stay for practically nothing. If you want to be a traveler, and not just a tourist, then it would be better to stay with a local anyway.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like sharing all kinds of things. I'd be interested to have a guest offer to cook their favorite dish. I totally love interesting food.

Most of my diet revolves around Nutella.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be happy to teach a bit of Jiujitsu. Its a super fun way to get fit, doesn't require you to say "Hi Yah!", and it's completely turned my life around.

I'd also be happy to cook if a host was interested. All I need is heat and meat.
