ABOUT ME

I am a 22 year old resident of beautiful Newcastle, NSW, Australia (1.5 hrs North of Sydney).

I have a degree in Graphic Design, and have been employed full time for the last 18 months as a Graphic Designer / Online Operations Manager working in a Toy Company - which is pretty much as cool as it sounds!

I live out of home with my friend Sophie and we share a rad little two bedroom house, where we've been since July 2011.

I'm ready to jump ship now and see the big wide world, and I've made the decision to go out and do this on my own. I believe this will make me a stronger person and will allow me to create stronger relationships with the people I meet on the way - and therefore gain a greater insight into the real local culture and the people of America.

I come from a large family and grew up with a great set morals from my parents, which has made me a very patient and understanding person. I am fun loving, confident and easy going.

I enjoy a healthy balance of fun and rest. Always keen to go out and socialize, or just kick back and relax at the beach or where ever the good vibes and good tunes are!

PHILOSOPHY

To have only a positive effect on the world; to live my life to the fullest while enjoying the richness of friendship, family and the beauty nature offers.

To meet as many good people as I can - strangers are just friends I haven't met yet. To be forever curious, ask questions and expand my knowledge.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Having travelled around the USA in hostels, I would be excited to surf some couches in my next set of travels.

Having just moved into a new place in the heart of Newcastle, I'm keen to offer up my couch to some travellers who are passing through Newcastle.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have slept on a lot of couches all around Newcastle and Sydney over the years, but none from this network yet.

All of the music! I'm hoping to see a lot of live music in my travels through the States. Buku Music + Art Project in New Orleans on March 8 and 9 looks pretty awesome, as well as Coachella in April.
