I've been living and working in Newcastle upon Tyne for most of the last decade, most recently as a freelancer editing books. I travel whenever I have the coin to do so, often to Spain where I used to live. Books, music and the natural world are my passions. I play the guitar without much success but have an eclectic taste in music, which hopefully makes up for my lack of talent. I love to read and write in my spare time and I'm also fond of cycling. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people while travelling and see the places they love through their eyes. I generally only work to live, an approach which doesn't leave me with much money to spare. As a result, I'm in need of a place to crash here and there on my travels. My perennial state is skint but happy, which is also the reason I haven't paid for the verification! But I'm a tidy and respectful house guest and I'm more than happy to make us some dinner and/or breakfast as a thanks for letting me stay.
