Hi,
My name is James and I am 21 years old from Yorkshire, England. I love music and have been playing piano, singing and songwriting since I was 13 years old; now I’m starting to learn a little guitar but I’m not very good! I decided to study music in university for 2 years where I had my own band and met some amazing and talented people. Now I live back home again and want to see the world and learn about different cultures and push myself to become a better person than the day before.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet and make friendships with some amazing people and share our cultures and values. I’ve always had a passion for discovering the world but until I finished university I never really had the chance. So I settled for becoming a little bit of a flag geek!
I really want to learn more about the people, culture and histories of wherever I may stay and open my eyes to the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It’s hard to say... but I’m really happy to have seen some music legends in concert, and I think that playing my own songs live is something I will always be in disbelief that I ever achieved (I’ve always been a little shy).

Travel wise, I have to say seeing Rome in a day was incredible and my three stays in Sorrento, Italy and seeing the Amalfi Coast line.
I hope to experience more soon!
