Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel Portugal for a few weeks in the summer of 2017 probably sometime in June or July. My plan is to fly into Porto and work my way to Lisbon where I will then fly to Bilbao to hopefully meet up with some friends. I have travelled before in Asia with friends but this would be my first solo trip. I want to try couchsurfing to see if it is a better way of immersing myself in the culture of the country that I am travelling in.
