I’m from a coastal town in Wales but now live in London, UK. I’ve travelled a lot, having lived in South Korea and Australia. These days, my wife and I have a one-year-old son, so life mostly revolves around him for the time being!

I’m pretty active. I love running and cycling, and I grew up surfing, I’ve been lucky to have surfed some of the best waves in the world. I trained Brazilian jiu-jitsu for many years but stopped during Covid, though lately I’ve been thinking of starting again.

I’m also into mindfulness meditation and have had a regular practice for a few years. Recently, I’ve started taking guitar lessons (I’m terrible but enjoying it!) I also love reading, art, history, and architecture, and I try to combine those interests whenever I visit new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve learned that you don’t truly get a feel for a place until you meet and get to know the locals. That’s what gives you the unique experiences you really remember and separates real travel from being a tourist.

I’ve met some amazing people through Couchsurfing, and when I look back on my travels, it’s always those experiences that stand out as the most memorable.
