Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently taking a year off from work to do some world travel. Starting with Mexico, then heading to Iceland, Cuba, Argentina, and then the rest of (somewhat) Central and South America. Then the plan is to hop over to Southeast Asia.

I also love to meet people from different cultures. There's nothing as refreshing as a new experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love it all. Lately I've been into The Kooks, Vance Joy, The Killers, Kings of Leon....and sometimes I'll throw some Drake on...

Movies: Not a huge movie guy (I know, I know). However, some of my favorites are Fight Club, The Royal Tenenbaums, and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

Books: I love travel books! Just read "How to Travel the World on $50 a Day" by Nomadic Matt and it was really informative! Love "The Alchemist" as well. Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance is my current favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to participate in a 10-day silent meditation retreat in Mazunte, Mexico. It was intense. Really, really intense. It was also one of the most fulfilling things that I have done in my life and has made significant positive changes to the way I see the world.
