Overview
About Me
At home, I’m a reasonably indoorsy sort, and semi serious gamer, but I’m fortunate enough to have taken several weeks leave from my job to go overseas and compete in Magic tournaments, and with the popularity of this game I've met people from all around the world who I share my hobby with. To keep my adventures fresh, I've chosen to visit new countries and explore different cultures along the way
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To get some local insight into what should be done in a place that i'm not familiar with! My parents have hosted many couchsurfers at our house back home and they were always lovely people and I would expect to show the same courtesy to my hosts

Music, Movies, and Books
I really like a wide range of music from classical to rap, but my favourite is progressive rock and metal - Pink Floyd, Between the Buried and Me etc
The "superhero-reboot" really excites me. Batman Begins trilogy and watchmen are some of my favourites
Big fan of Sci-Fi - Philip K Dick and Isaac Asimov, but am also attempting to read the classics, Dickens, Dostoevsky, Lord of the Flies, the Great Gatsby - although some of these have been pretty challenging
I also really like Kurt Vonnegut!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Drove 200 miles on the "wrong side of the road" to get up again at sunrise to see the Grand Canyon
Teach, Learn, Share
I've been on Duolingo for my upcoming Japan visit. its very difficult coming into this at my age (haha) but i've found putting away a bit of practise every day really helps
