I am a friendly and trustworthy person who wants to understand the viewpoints and cultures of others and incorporate what works for me while respecting what works for others. I'm trying to leave a small impact on the world that will hopefully ripple to others and (I know it sounds cheesy), but make the world a better place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a spare bedroom at my place that a CSer can use and also have two bikes and would love to show a fellow CSer around my city. Biking is the best way to explore my little city IMO.

I'm new to CS and I've been reading about all the positive experiences of other CSers and want to give back to the community as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Love all types of music except for hardcore heavy metal or rap

Movies: Historical Epics (Gladiator, Braveheart, Saving Private Ryan), Thrillers (Memento, Se7en, Usual Suspects, The Game, Fight Club), Sci Fi/Fantasy (Contact, Minority Report, Lord of the Rings).

Books: I wish I read more except new articles online. Ender's Game though had a big impact on me when I was growing up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solo Trip to Iceland. Drove 5 hours east to the Glacier Lagoon and felt like I had the entire country to myself. Saw the sunrise over the Glaciers at 3am. Otherworldly sight.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I'm open to sharing any of my knowledge. Know a little of a lot. Good with computers.

Learn: Would love to learn about travels, languages and get better at cooking and anything else unique my host might be willing to teach me.

Share: I am happy to share my cooking and the little bit of languages I speak. Share my experiences etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to take us to try some local cuisine or the host's favorite place for lunch/dinner and share stories and get to know each other. I enjoy going out to eat and find it's the best way to start a conversation.
