About Me
Hello!
My name is James and I'm currently living with my girlfriend Alex in the wonderful city of Ottawa. I've lived in Ottawa all my life and I can tell you that it's a wonderful capital city, full of endless activities, unbound nature, and an amazing nightlife if you know where to look. My girlfriend and I are both nurses at nearby inner city hospitals. We do shift work and our schedules are pretty random, but we definitely try to do the most with our time off.
We both love meeting new people and learning from other's life experiences. We are open-minded with open hearts and are always challenging ourselves ( currently really into rock climbing/bouldering at a nearby gym).
We try to travel as much as we can but want to travel more.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a huge movie fan - I'd have to say one of my classic go-tos is The Party with Peter Sellers (if you haven't seen it, go find it right now and watch it). Love all types of music, really into modern jazz right now - the boys of BBNG are making some smooth beats right now - check them out too.
Books - right now I'm enjoying stories by Haruki Murakami (1Q84, After Dark). His writing seems to bring me to a different world and I for some reason like to read about the bustling Japanese cities he describes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In my final year of nursing school, I travelled to India with a few of my classmates to experience what nursing was like in India. I was fortunate enough to learn about Indian culture and how their healthcare system works by shadowing Indian nurses and students. It is an experience I will always hold close and has reinforced my desire to continue to learn about other cultures and travel.
